Jevas Combativas is the first Spanish-language feminist media group in the U.S., created by Latinx for Latinx. Built from rebellion and driven by purpose, they produce bold, intersectional multimedia content focused on gender equity, politics, and policy. Our goal was to create a visual identity and website that matched the clarity and power of their mission: amplifying stories with presence, urgency, and pride.
Jevas Combativas was evolving from a podcast into a full digital media platform and they needed a brand that could grow with them. The identity had to reflect their roots in activism, feel grounded in Latinx culture, and make space for impactful storytelling across formats. The challenge was to build a system that felt contemporary and expansive, while honoring the weight of their mission and message.
We turned to traditional print media and protest visuals for inspiration, using bold, front-page-style typography to command attention and center the stories being told. A vibrant, unconventional color palette brought energy and contrast to the content. On the website, we restructured their platform to prioritize storytelling, incorporating hover effects, scrolling blocks, and strong type hierarchy to guide the reader’s eye and create movement. The full system reflects what Jevas stands for: courage, community, and the power of stories told in our own voice.
